Location: South Side Marina / Turtle Tail

Ambiance: Very casual, laid back feel that you would expect from a classic island marina bar. Fun local vibe on Wednesday nights with the band, otherwise fairly quiet evenings where you can kick back and enjoy the breeze and views

Best Bet for Live Music: expat band Wednesday evenings from 7pm

Recent Lineup: The ‘Original’ Bar Band

Food & Drink: prepare to be pleasantly surprised by the food here as it is bar food designed in conjunction with the chef from Opus - they call it “international cuisine meets smokehouse BBQ” and serve up items like crispy filo wrapped bake brie, smoked conch mac & cheese cakes, chicken breast katsu sandwich (so good!), and more plus a selection of sourdough flatbreads (pesto pomodoro, el ranchero, and more) and poutines (menu)

Happy Hour: TBD

Grab a table if you are lucky or simply pull up around around the bar, but head here on Wednesdays to hear the island's quintessential expat band - the Original Bar Band - play from 7pm. Bob’s Bar maintains that island laid-back feel from years ago that is becoming harder to come by on the island. Great island feel and breeze as you overlook the South Side Marina

Music night was really happening! We visited Bob's Bar on a Wednesday night. There was a band, and the place was packed! The service was decent for the crowd size, and we enjoyed ourselves. We only had drinks, so not sure about the quality of the food.”

“This place was new to me and well off the beaten track for tourists - but they are missing a treat. This is a great location overlooking South Side marina. Nice atmosphere and great service but the real gem is the food. I had the roast duck flat bread with black garlic - the taste was amazing - very unusual (probably the black garlic).”

“Atmosphere Amazing! This was just a beautiful little pub with amazing entertainment. A group of 6 gentlemen jammed for free. Most of the players were in their 60's and were very talented.”
